The Coronavirus Pandemic – The Lessons

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus. It derived its name from the Latin word, ‘corona’ which means crown. The disease causes respiratory illness with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty in breathing.

HOW IT SPREADS

Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

Though the disease outbreak has caused a lot of problems, arrested a lot of lives, created problems in many homes, caused commotion throughout the world and planted fear and panic in the minds of the people, it has also done some good. Good in the sense that; COVID-19 has helped us realise that the best gift that God almighty has given us is life.

Coronavirus disease is like a patriotic policeman that does his job diligently. It cannot be bribed or taken away by corruption. That is, no matter the amount of money you have, you cannot play smart with Corona Virus.

Have we ever thought on why Corona Virus started affecting the so-called world powers? Those who can destroy in a twinkle if an eye, but have they ended Corona Virus?

PREVENTION
There’s currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease (COVID-19). You can protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus to others if you:

Do the following;

1. Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub under running water.
2. Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze.
3. Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.
4. Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell.

Don’t do the following;

1. Touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean.

The greatest prevention and cure to this is to pray to Ar-Raheem to save us from this pandemic. May Allah protect us and our loved ones from this virus. IN SHA ALLAH!!!!!

MEANINIG OF CORONA VIRUS

C = Call for Allah’s help.

O = Obey the commandment of Allah.

R = Repentance.

O = Observe Five Daily Prayers.

N = No polytheism…Shirk

A = Adhere strictly to the teachings in the Holy Quran and Authentic Hadiths.

V = Volunteer to serve humanity.

I = Instil self-confidence and self-discipline.

R = Remembering Allah is a medicine for the souls.

U = Uplifting your Iman towards Allah.

S = Safety is from Allah when you follow Allah’s instructions/
